Now for the price this ice cream maker really does pack and punch and perform. So you are not going to get a vast amount of ice cream but really for just a couple of people its great. You could always make several batches in advance and freeze them if you wer having a crowd around. You can’t beat this machine for value for money.
If you keep the bowl (it’s small enough in the freezer all the time then you do not have the hassle of waiting for it to freeze). At that price it does make a great little gift. Like we bought one for a friend when gove over to their for dinner, it cost less than a bunch of flowers or box of chocolates and she loved it and hast got loads of use out of it. Win win all round as we also get great ice cream when we visit now.

All in all you can’t fault this electric ice cream maker for what it does. If you want a better looker, or if you want something that will make more then this is not for you. But we love it and its a great little starter machine.

No salt or ice are needed to create 1 quart of ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet, or frozen drinks at home with this ice-cream maker. Just turning the crank occasionally for 15 or 20 minutes is all it takes. The unit’s freezer bowl goes into a refrigerator’s freezer for about 7 hours to freeze the liquid between its walls. The bowl then goes into the outer case, the paddle goes into the bowl, ingredients go into the bowl.
This little machine is very popular. It doesn’t even use electricity. Asice cream makers go you can’t really get more basic, but that is the beauty of this machine. Very little can actually go wrong with it, it is solidly made and because you hand crank it, the design is very simple so there are no electric parts to go wrong or fail.
It is small enough to be unobtrusive in your kitchen (you don’t need to build an extension to house it) and you really don’t need to pack it away and store it in between uses. If you are concerned about having to stand over it all the time and churn, then don’t be. By all accounts, this is not the case. You can stir for a bit, leave it, go back to it for another minute or so. This is very easy to do while you are preparing dinner so do not fuss about it.
